1. How does the Handheld Wireless help my bottom line?
- In several ways...
- 1. By increasing table turns due to decreased table times. Usually 20-25 minutes per table.
- 2. By saving on labor costs due to increased productivity by fewer waitstaff.
- 3. By decreasing gross food costs due to more accurate order taking and less waste.
- 4. By insuring accurate pricing on every order. Up to 1-1.5%.
- 5. Waitstaff can spend more time with customer suggesting add-ons.
- 6. By reporting accurate detailed reports for the back office.
2. What is The Wireless Handheld Order Taking System?
- Multiple printers, handhelds, and stationary units can be configured depending on your needs.
3. How does The System work?
- The waitstaff uses a handheld unit to take the customers order. The handheld unit then sends a wireless signal to the CU. The CU then routes the order to the appropriate printer for action. Drinks to the bar, food to the kitchen, and so on as needed.
4. Do I buy or lease?
- It depends on your financial needs for various purposes such as tax depreciation and other accounting procedures. Systems can be purchased outright or leased for less than $500 a month depending on configuration.
5. What is the advantage of the Handheld over a traditional stationary POS?
- With outdated stationary POS systems, bottlenecks occur due to waitstaff standing in line at the touchscreen. With the Handheld Unit, each order is transmitted instantly to the Control Unit so the waitstaff can step directly to the next table. Without having to stand in line at a stationary system, your waitstaff will no longer have to "load up" several orders at once and "slam" the kitchen, smoothing out the peak times. Working in conjunction with Color Touchscreens the efficiency of your operation can be maximized.
6. How does the Handheld Unit take orders?
- Your menu is entered into the CPU. When the handheld units are in the charging/programming section on the CU, your menu is entered into the handheld. The waitstaff then enters the order item into the Handheld Unit. When the order is complete, a Send button is pressed and the order is instantly transmitted.
7. Will the Unit handle foreign languages?
- Yes. For a nominal charge, additional programming will allow the language of your choice.
8. Does the Unit have Hold and Fire capability?
- Yes. You can time the sequence of your order so that the items arrive in the proper order for that great dining experience.
9. I like the idea of a handheld unit. But right now, all I need is a "cash register". Can I get a basic system now and add handheld units later?
- Yes. Even though the cost factors aren't as advantageous, you can start with stationary units and then add handheld units as your business grows.
10. My operation does serve lunch and dinner. But, I also do a large volume in liquor. Will the Handheld help my service level?
- Yes! One of the most often under-utilized features of the Handheld is it's capacity for rapid fire, high volume, dedicated order taking. In a high volume night club setting, the Handheld can make an incredible return.
11. Can I manage personal accounts at my assisted care facility?
- Yes! The Handheld can manage individual accounts for dining, purchases and other functions at assisted care and retirement facilities.
What about the "handhelds" I see at all the electronics stores? Will they work?
- NO! The commonly available mass marketed handhelds are consumer only units. We only sell industrial tested and rated handhelds. There is a difference!
